Please note version 2.70 and higher requires that your hosting account be on Windows 2012/IIS8 (ASP.NET 4.5 Framework) in order to run. In this Tutorial I'm going to show you how to install nopCommerce Version 2.80 using the DiscountASP.NET's Web Application Gallery Installer. Although the Tutorial is for version 2.80. Any higher version we provide in our Application Installer for nopCommerce should still apply to these instructions below: You're going to need SQL database add-on to use with your nopCommerce application. If you haven't done so already please be sure to order a SQL database add-on version 2008 or Higher through our add-ons page in the control panel here: https://my.discountasp.net/addons If you already have a SQL database then please continue below: Please make sure that the database you are using is empty and doesn't contain any other stuff in it. We want to make sure we use a clean database for this installation. Login to the control panel for your hosting account. Click on the Web App Gallery link Scroll down to "nopCommerce". Click on the link: "Continue with Installation" On the next page there will be a default text in the field "nopCommerce". If you want to install the web application on the root of the hosting account please remove this field so you only have your domain name and a empty text box. If you want to install nopCommerce in a subdirectory then go ahead and enter the name of the subdirectory in this text field. WARNING: This delete all files within the Application Path location. This means if you install it on the root. Then everything else will be deleted on the root and the application will be installed. Its always a good idea to backup your site first to prevent any data loss that may occur. Click on the "Install Application" button. Our system will now put the application files on the directory you specified. Now click on the domain link our Web Application Gallery Installation Tool provides to you. You will be brought to the nopCommerce installation wizard. Now go back into your control panel and click on "SQL Manager" Select your database to view the settings you are going to need for the nopCommerce installation wizard. Under the Database Information tab. Note the following: SQL Server Name: Database Name: Database Login: To change your database password for the main SQL user. Click on the "Login Manager" tab in your SQL Manager page. The information in these fields is what you're going to need to place into the nopCommerce installation wizard. Now go back to the nopCommerce installation wizard. Fill in the Store information Admin user email: Admin user password: Confirm the password: Create sample data: - leave this option unchecked. Under: Database information Use the option- Use SQL Server (or SQL Express) database [Recommended] Create database if it doesn't exist: - Leave this option unchecked. Use the option: Enter SQL connection values Now enter all the fields from our control panel's SQL Manager page into the fields below: SQL Server name: Database name: Use SQL Server account - Use this option SQL Username: SQL Password: Specify custom SQL Server collation: Leave this unchecked Now click on on the "Install" button.
