  1. Hi,

Is there a system to be notified of when the server your website is on is down?

It would be quite good to get an email.

    Thks

  2. Yes but some of us run adwords campaigns.

Thus knowing when the server goes down and when it returns would allow us to turn our campaigns off and on.

Not telling people is costing money!!!!

I can't believe its beyond the technical ability of dasp to have a system generated email when the web server or whatever fails?

I only knew that the system was down becuase I happened to be working today.

PLEASE COULD WE HAVE SOMEWAY OF KNOWING WHEN THE SYSTEM GOES DOWN.

It is not "beyond our technical ability," but we choose not to send email in such cases. Most hosts do not notify users of server interruption. Typically such outages are brief, and frankly, it doesn't make sense to alert people to something most of them will be unaware of. That's the honest answer, and that's why email notification just isn't done.

If you think there may be a problem, the best thing to do is check the outages and maintenance forum. If an interruption lasts more than a minute or two, we will usually post it there.

  4. Apologies I did not mean to be rude.

My frustration is about spending money on adwords when the site was down.

You are right it seems no hosting cos provide this service.

I have looked around the internet for a product and come up with this...

Are there any others that you might suggest?
