Hi, I enabled authentication for the primary user of my web site via MS IIS manager on the site, but i still cannot get logged via IIS remote manager I am pretty sure i type the correct alternative website, user name and password. Could any one have a guess
Hi, Besides the Alternate address for your site it is also important to make sure when you enter the "Site name" in the first part of the wizard you enter the actual domain name. As an example, for my site if I only enter "msftwise" it will fail but with "msftwise.com" as the Site name it will succeed. All the best, Mark
Hi, Did you make sure that your domain name doesn't include 'www' and that you're clicking on "Connect to a site", not "connect to a server"?
thanks You are my hero that was the point i was missing , i was typing just anything instead of the actual site name. now that i type the actual name it solved my connection problem, Thanks a lot , i was going crazy with this
