I am trying to figure out why my website goes down and to bring it back up, I have to log into discountasp.net > IIS TOOL > recycle App Pool. I clicked recycle App Pool then my website comes back up temporarily (1-2 hours) and later in the day it will go down again. Anyway, I would like to know if there is another log file, other than web stat/raw log files, that tells me server up and down time. Also, could it be that discountasp was doing maintenance on eweb115 and eweb102 that cause this issue? Thanks,
Is there a way to setup monitoring (SMS) for my website? I would like to be able to ping port 80 every five minutes and it will send me an email alert/notification of uptime/outages?
That's always possible, but you would see a notification in the outages forum if that was the case. Typically if you can start the site by recycling the application pool you're looking at an application issue.
