  1. Hi there. I just bought the domain and registered at DiscountASP.net. I have made a website and trying to upload that to the server. I am following this tutorial over here.

    http://www.asp.net/learn/hosting/tutorial-04-cs.aspx

But i am stuck on the logon FTP step. I have entered all the details as shown in the link, but it is asking for password again and again and is not proceeding. I am entering the password with which i have bought the domain and with which i am registered to discountASP.NET.

Is there anything i m doing wrong??

  2. anybody??

  3. Hi,
Try it again with your alternate FTP address, the one DASP sent you in the Welcome message.
Also try it with Passive Mode un-checked.
And...Do not specify anything for the Directory, leave that box blank.
    All the best,
    Mark

  4. thanks, i got it working :)

  7. Hi Raziiq, I am new here and I am also trying to move my site to discountasp.net. I have backend as sql server 2008 r2.

Can you please send me instructions on how to move them. I have already moved my project files using the visual studio copy tool, but in the web application tool I can only see folders I cannot see files.

Now I need to move my db and connect it to my code. Can you please provide me helpful links if you have some.

    Thanks

  8. sam123u and Raziiq,

I have gone all the steps except the last one in deploying my test site: I can see files in ftp://www.senfamath.com window, but could not see any files with Web Application Tool in the Control Panel within www.discountasp.net.

Could either of you or both of you give me some advice, please?

    Sincere thanks.
