Email down?

  3. I am afraid it was down - again -today. Maybe briefly, but it was certainly down.


    We have an application that runs on the server and uses the ASPNETPOP3 component to receive mail.


    That service was not functioning afternoon today. In the process, we lost some mails, too.


    The same thing happened a couple of days ago again.


    I am afraid I'll have to look for a more reliable e-mail solution.[​IMG]


    Asked for tech support 2 days ago, but did not receive any response yet.

    Huh?

    We have a policy for support to reply to all tickets within 24 hours. Do you have the ticket number? Try send in another ticket.

  5. I don't current use the mail functionality but I can vouch for excellent response times for tech. support via the ticket system.

    At first I was hesitant and wanted a phone number, but I worked with it, awesome attention to service.

I don't mind (mind you, I don't like it either) intermittent email down time as long as it is few and far between but this was the first time I actually lost mail that I sent out (it never reached its intended recipient), and I also lost mail coming in (it never reached me even after the email functionality was restored). This I did not like at all. I was forced to contact people to ask them if they sent me mail, a hassle for me, and them, and ask them to resend. This was how I found out that mail I sent was not reaching its destination as well, as I had initially thought that only incoming mail was not functioning.


    Anyway, I really like this company, but there are certain things such as not having an email status update that really inconveniences me. Another major inconvenience is the attachment limit. I really need a bigger per email limit.


    I agree with the tech support response time tho, it is very good and tech support is typically very helpful. I think that is the major reason I stay to be honest with you. Every time I have had an issue they were very helpful, and responded in a decent time frame.
