For some time now we have been testing the commercial mail system SmarterMail, and after a thorough evaluation and comparison with our existing system, we have decided to move to the SmarterMail platform.

SmarterMail is an established system that is powered by ASP.NET, and used by many large Windows hosting providers. Their innovative architecture and history of reliability make them a perfect fit with DiscountASP.NET, and we think you will be pleased with the system.

The first phase of the SmarterMail introduction will be on new accounts. Once we have enough new accounts on the SmarterMail platform to get the usage data we need, we will enter an opt-in phase of deployment, where you can choose to have your mail services migrated to the new system. Finally, we will migrate all remaining customers and retire the current mail system.

We have begun to provision new accounts to SmarterMail, and when we reach the opt-in phase of deployment we will notify all of our users and provide details related to the switch.

  2. Try referencing this link. http://help.smartertools.com/SmarterMail/v4/Default.aspx
This is a link to the smartermail help files which will give you a little more insights of the features of smartermail.

SmarterMail will not affect how your web application will work. You can still use ADO and ASPEmail on your web aplpication.

  4. Hi,
Can we have a little more information in the new mail system (smartermail)?

I do not currently use ASP.net nor have the time to learn it.

Will we still be able to use ADO & ASPeMail for our scripting needs?
