Hi, I recently uploaded my website with Frontpage 2000 and when I went to load it in my browser I was asked to login with username and password. I check permission manager and allowed the anonyms user ( the only user on file) to have read and write permissions. Anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong? Website is www.pcrcanada.com . thanks, J. Brock PC Resources
Check the Frontpage Web Admin. There's a allow anonymous access option. Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
It appears as though you are anly allowing anonymous users on thehome page (not the site)... all other pages and even the images are protected. I'm not a Frontpage user, so I don't know where the correct setting is. You need to make sure the entire site's permissions are set, not just the one page (perhaps the guidance Bruce is giving will point you to the right control panel). Thanks for all your help. I did send a support ticket, yes frontpage was all messed up. They replied within 2 hours to let me know it was fixed. I am new to this company but if there support service continues to be this good I will be moving all my clients to this company. Jerry
thank for your resonses. I have gone into frontpage extension manager and turned anonymous access on. I have gone to permssion manager and have allowed anonymous user to read and write to each directory on my website and I am still getting a login screen when I load the website in my browswer. My normal login that I use for this control panel does not work when I try and use it for the login on my website. Any other ideas? Jerry
