  1. I'm using Filezilla to upload a 30mb database backup. It keeps timing out however after 300 seconds with Filezilla. This is in both passive and active mode. I've look for the answer on the filezilla boards but can't find anything, is there a way around this?

  2. Most likely our beloved stateless Internet is at fault.

There are ways this can be done with ASP.NET 2.0, greatly improved over ASP.NET 1.1
Use my Google Coop link below to search for ASP.NET httpRuntime maxRequestLength and requestLengthDiskThreshold.

You can probably find some ready to use examples:

  3. This is FTP, nothing to do with asp.net (filezilla is a FTP client).

Problem is solved now, I just switched to smart ftp which is far better :)

  4. Glad it's resolved.

What I meant actually was that with ASP.NET 2 you can create a tool to overcome large file problems.

Some of the protocols we usedon multi-node BBSes worked better resolving file handles than the I.P.we're using today.
    Salute,
