  1. Hello all,

After upgrading my site from DNN 5.1.0 to 5.1.1, the site has been regularly taking over 70% CPU for over 5 minutes, which kills the worker process and causes a 503 error. The logs are less than helpful - basically just that my app pool had exceeded its job limit settings, and then had exceeded time limits during shutdown.

I had noticed also that a scheduled task was throwing errors - the BroadcastPollingCachingProvider - so I disabled the scheduled task. This made no difference.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  2. ...Use http://www.bing.com/ and search for resource related troubles and you will find a lot of links.
I'm not knocking DNN, it is widely used and has some excellent features but it is very resource heavy.
You may be able to find some "diet" tips for DNN however my suggestion will be for you to shop around a bit for a CMS that may fit your needs and is a little skinnier.

Sorry I don't have any specific advice. ;-)
    All the best,
    Mark
