Hi I am using the ABCpdf.NET component that comes withthe DiscountASP.NET hosting account. I would like to use the feature of this component that allows it to read and convert an Office document (Word, Excel, etc.) into a PDF. The feature requires the OpenOffice.org(http://www.openoffice.org/)package to be installed on the server for it to work. Before I invest any time into this I need to know if a) OpenOffice is installed on the DiscountASP.NET servers, or b) if it can be installed onthe webservers to allow this feature to work. Thanks -- Dan
The most current version of ABCPDF.NET is not installed. The older ones are actually installed and they do not requiere OpenOffice. Please take a look at http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10238
Greetings, They don't have older versions at their website. Where can I get a local copy of the ABCPdf v5.0.0.4 dll, so I can compile my website and use it locally. I asked Websupergoo, but they said that 'your host... is responsible for supporting your use of that version, documentation, etc.' Jamie
Please create a ticket via your control panel asking about the older version of ABCPDF and we can get you squared away.
