  1. I am trying to figure out if Discount Asp.net will answer my reporting needs. I want to use classic ASP to write an application that is data driven by a SQL Database hosted on discount Asp.net. Then, I want to also render reports that I've developed and stored on the discount Asp.net report server and render those reports when someone clicks on a link on my web page. Is this possible? The link would call a URL but I'm not opposed to any way to get this done. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  2. I'm afraid I don't see how passing page filters helps me with this question. Perhaps I'm missing something. The question basically is how do I access my reports on the report server on a Classic ASP page.

  3. You'll need to contact DASP support for that part...
I was referring to a method we used for ASP commerce with no report server.
By using the services at DASP, Classic ASP and XML, you can do the same thing.
As for any report server, open a support ticket and ask. [IMG]

I don't think you can render Reporting service report with ASP. You can do that w/ ASP.NET though.

  5. Thanks for your reply Bruce. Not good news for me. Are you sure of this? If so, is it possible to mix asp and aspx pages in a web project. I'm thinking that if I can call an aspx page from a classic asp page and then render the reports from there, would that work? Thanks.

Honestly, i am not sure at all.

There may be a way to do it but whatever it is, it is not too straight forward and involves some hack.
