  2. Hi ,

Like many many others no doubt I use xp desktop as an intermediary fro file transfers between vs projects
using two instances of vs 2005. This has worked faultlessly for a long time, but now I suddenly find that
the files I transfer to the desktop are being transferred as active desktop items although they have never been such before. Is there a setting I must change in vs2005 ? I have attempted to disable active desktop
in xp via control panel but this does not help. Any clues please. I have never used active desktop as such
in xp so I cannot understand howmy vs 2005 content could have changed to active desktop files help......

    Regards stevej

  3. I tried but couldn't find anything on this.

Have you considered using a USB flash drive for this?
The prices are so good right now they really make sense for this.
For projects here I use a 4GB drive I got from Amazon for just $20. [IMG]

It works great for VS projects and SQL Server projects.
    Salute,
    Mark
