Hi, I was hoping someone could point me to a code example where I can add an expires header to images programatically. My site has a lot of static images and I was hoping on reducing HTTP trips by setting an expiry date for them. Or can this be done in the IIS panel? Thanks.
See: http://aspnetresources.com/blog/cache_control_extensions.aspx Also, you will need to issue to a ticket to the support team for the mapping of the images to the ASP.NET ISAPI extension in IIS . Vikram DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
Hi, An interesting read indeed. So just confirming, I would be able to get a Discount Asp support team member to add these http headers via IIS forour directoryif I raised a ticket? Because, really, every image on my site is static. We have something like 6000+ of them so it would be great if we could do this. Thanks.
Yes,they would help you with the mapping within the IIS.Just Issue them a ticket to do so. Vikram DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
