Adding expires header to images

Discussion in 'ASP.NET 2.0' started by scigoalplan, Jun 25, 2007.

  1. Hi,

I was hoping someone could point me to a code example where I can add an expires header to images programatically. My site has a lot of static images and I was hoping on reducing HTTP trips by setting an expiry date for them. Or can this be done in the IIS panel?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi,

An interesting read indeed. So just confirming, I would be able to get a Discount Asp support team member to add these http headers via IIS forour directoryif I raised a ticket? Because, really, every image on my site is static. We have something like 6000+ of them so it would be great if we could do this.

    Thanks.
