Adding ftp user

Discussion in 'Windows / IIS' started by mdselite, Jun 13, 2008.

  1. I get this funny feeling that I'm missing something here, but whenever I try logging in with my ftp user, I get

[R] 530 User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible.

I created the user/pass, then created a folder with the same name as the username, and gave that user read/write.

  2. What are you using bro?

  3. tried with a firefox ftp client first (to test), then explorer, then with FlashFXP, getting the same message with each one

The format of the FTP user name is a bit different if you're used to logging into the FTP services under our Windows 2003 servers. You may want to confirm that you're using the correct FTP user name by visiting the Account Information in your Control Panel which should be in the form of number, pipe character '|' and a user name.

If you're still having problems logging in, just open up a ticket and one of the guys in support should be able to lend a hand.
