Additional Bandwidth

What is the exact result of adding additional bandwidth per month?

 

This increases the alloted bandwidth that you use over the period of a month. Think of it like minutes on a cell phone. The addon is like buying a bigger plan (extra minutes per month). You can contact our billing department if you have questions.

 

If I don't purchase it and I have a lot of people visiting my site, does this mean it will slow down near the end of the month or something of that nature?

 

No. If you go over your allotted bandwidth the billing department will contact you and let you know how much more bandwidth they estimate you will need to finish out the month. If you decline to purchase additional bandwidth and you are over quota, we have to shut your site down for the remainder of the month.

We never shut down a site without first giving you the option to increase your bandwidth allotment, and we never automatically increase your quota and then bill you for the overage. The choice of how to handle it is always up to you.
