  1. I've uploaded files for an existing site thru the alt FTP and am trying to view the alt URL before pointing to the dasp server. The address given me for this takes me to the welcome page where I need to log into the control panel again - then I've back to my account info. I've tried typing the alt URL directly but go right to the welcome page again. What am I missing?

You may have to change the default documents setting in your Control Panel. What's the name of the file for your default home page?

Yes, you need to change the Default Documents using your Control Panel under IIS Tools. You need to add an entry for home.html and place it at the top of the list.

home.html is not a default index document. What you have to do is log in to Control Panel, go to IIS Tools > Default Documents, add home.html to the top of that list and hit the "update" button. That should do it.
