  1. I've read several posts here saying to programmatically put some redirect stuff into the default page for the root site, but this isn't exactly what I want to do.

If a web client arrives at my site via http://subdomain.mydomain.com/someDoc.aspx, I want someDoc.aspx to be loaded from the /foo directory in my account, and I want their URL in their browser to continue to read http://subdomain.mydomain.com/someDoc.aspx after the response has been rendered on their end. Is this impossible?

This is equivalent to saying that subdomains of mydomain.com are separate web applications that have nothing to do with the root dir's stuff.

Please inform me if it's simply too late in the evening and I am not thinking properly.
