  1. Hi All,

    Noobie question.
Ok, I know this has been asked numerous times but I am hoping someone can clarify this once and for all for me. I am completely ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

I have one website hosted with DASP

    Domain1.com

I wish to host another completely unrelated site

    Domain2.com

Now from what I have read this may be achievable by using a domain pointer which requires some redirection code in my web page?

Does this mean that a person entering the URL ? Domain2.com is actually directed to Domain1.com at which point the code detects the requested URL and redirects the request to Domain2.com ?

If so will this be transparent to the user?
i.e. will they always see Domain2 in their address bar?

I also require a separate email address for the second domain?

Something like the example on this site
    http://xlecom.com/?q=node/24

If this can be done can someone please provide an example of how I would implement this?

It was suggested to me that I would need to buy a separate hosting plan but I don?t really consider this a viable option given that the second site is likely only to be 2-3 pages.

    Many thanks
