App Gallery:DNN remote-local DATABASE sync

    I installed DNN from CP AppGallery to directly my website 6 mounths ago.

    I can download files with webmatrix and sync with mywebsite to local.

    But cant sync my website database to local.

    So im making changes directly to online website.I want to develop in my local and then publish everyting to remote.

    Im searching this problem for mounths but no solution. AppGallery is useless if i cant pull and sync all files and DATABASE to my local.

    I'm not sure what you're using to try to sync the database, but you can still use the Control Panel to back up the database, download it, and restore it locally.

    Ok follow these steps:

    Install dnn from web gallery

    Install web matrix 2 to your pc

    Use webdeploy setting for connection

    Sync Remote to Local


    -You will see only files not database and you CANT RUN (DEBUG) these files without database

    +

    I restored my website's database to local server but cant make connection with files in webmatrix which i downloaded from remote

    Hi,

    A couple of things to note:

    1) Web Matrix 2 is still in beta, so there may be a few bugs that need to be worked out.

    2) I'm not a Web Matrix expert, but I tried the Download Published Site... option in Web Matrix 1, and everything seems to have worked the first time. It fails subsequent times because the database already exists.
