Hi everyone, I'm a newbe to DiscountASP.net and ASP.NET 2.0. Do I need to install the FrontPage Extentions via the 'FrontPage Tool' in the control panelif I'm using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express to develop and upload my site? Any other tips would be appreciated too. Thanks.
Hey Freddie, I just signed up as well. I figured a few things out already. Avoid the frontpage at all costs! Hehe. JerSchneid posted a great program to upload your site. http://community.discountasp.net/default.aspx?f=24&m=9109 If you have your site currently on your local IIS... Point the program to your inetpub/wwwroot/websitename. Then check what you want to upload. Get your FTP settings from the Account Settings option on the control bar. Use your control panel login/pw. The upload program is pretty neat, the next time you want to upload, it detects what has been changed since the last time you uploaded.
