  1. Can’t get command prompt to recognize the Microsoft.NET directory. From the command prompt at C:\>
I type the following, cd WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 – command prompt returns “Invalid Directory” could it be the “.” What is the work around?
I tried using the wizard (which is the only way I could get to it) but I suspect it won’t do the job. If anybody could solve this DOS problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

  2. Hi,
Can you you browse to it with the file Explorer?
By any chance are you running Windows 7?
If so, locate that folder with the file explorer then hold Shift as you Right-click on the folder.
You'll see an option to open the command window there.
If you're on Vista try running the command prompt from Vista as Administrator.
    All the best,
    Mark

  4. Hi,

How are you launching command prompt? Try going to Start..Run..."cmd" . I've seen people have this problem when they type "command" to launch the prompt.

    hth!

I was putting in command insstead of cmd!

  6. ...You might also want to use the Power Toys from Microsoft.
There's a very cool "Command Prompt here" power toy I used to be dependent on XP Pro.
(Using Softimage XSI on XP I needed to open command prompts for some of the functions.)
    All the best,
    Mark
