  1. Blessings and Peace:

Long story short: We're coordinating the volunteer activity
of scores of college students in New Orleans, during Mardi Gras.
A team member has written a database in Access, that we
need to get online with read-write permissions.

None of us are programmers, and thus not at all capable with
ASP, .Net, PERL or otherwise. We have never put a database
online, but we DO need this one up ASAP.

I'm hoping that someone will see this post, and be led to do
their part for the Rebuild Effort; by helping us get over this
    immediate hurdle.

I can be reached at 661-209-8709, and will GLADLY take your call.

We have an Access relational database that has been written.

Via an Access online account, we want to be able to:

    1) Upload the database file and have it accessible from the web

    2) Manipulate/Edit the database file

    Unfortunately, you cannot do this.

MS Access is a file based database and is not intended to be used over the Internet. To do this, my only suggestion is for you to download the MS Access file from the server to the client and edit it. Once done, reupload it back to the server.

  5. I've read online that Hosted Access
    allows for read-write permissions.

Does that mean that one may just
input info into the database (write),
and draw upon the data stored (read)?

I would appreciate your clarifying this.
