Authentication Tickets & Application Pools

Discussion in 'Windows / IIS' started by pinch, Feb 18, 2012.

  1. I have my site configured with a root application and 2 sub-applications. One of the sub-applications is able to recognize the authentication ticket from the root application so that a single-sign-on is achieved.

However, the other sub-application will not recognize the authentication ticket from the root site. Their help desk is asking me to verify that all 3 of my applications are in the same app pool.

How would I tell if my 3 applications are in the same app pool? Is this something that is set by default or do I have to open a support ticket to find out?

    Thanks.

If you're using a single hosting account, it's in the same application pool. Please open up a support ticket and provide us with instructions on how to replicate the error/problem you're having.

  3. They won't be able to replicate the problem without creating a [free] account. I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to tell me it's an application issue, but I'll try.
