Automatic backup of SQL 2008 (api)

    Hi, it doesn't seem possible to use the API to backup my SQL 2008 database. At the moment, I do the backup manually through the control panel but it's far from ideal. 2 questions:
    -are you planning to add a backup functionality for SQL 2008 in the API? If not, why not? Backing up sql 2008 or sql 2005 is a fairly similar process so modifying the API shouldn't take more than 1 hour for someone in the support team.
    -as it's not possible to backup the database through the API, what do you suggest that I do to automate this process?

    1) We have plan to expand the API to work with SQL2k8. It should be coming sometime this year.
