Hey.. this is good stuff.


This is one of our bigger problem as a shared hosters. Most developers are not database administrator and most do not understand there's a need to maintanence their SQL database. Over time, the DB is completely fragmented and the index is outdated which cause heavy toll on our SQL server some times.


Our database administration team try our best to sniff out these problem and notified the customers but we can only act reactively.


I think this articles are going to help our customer to understand that it is important to maintain the DB on a regular basis.
