Can SQL 2000 Enterprises run on Win XP Pro? Is it compatitable with VS 2005 STD?

    ah.. i believe you can only install the client tool (not the server part) on win xp.

    but...how come I couldn't install SQL 2000 Ent. Server on my Win XP Pro machine?


    It throws an error saying I am not able to install on the machine during installation.

    Oh...yeah...how stupid I was....

    All i need is just those client tool features such as Query Analyzer....etc...


    I shouldn't have attempt to install SQL Server on my dump and cheap development machine...

    i will give it a try...see if it install properly this time
