Change the name of the database on dasp?

I recently purchased 500 MB of sql server 2008. It gave me a default name with my username at the end. Are we allowed to change the name of the database?

I don't believe so. I'm not really sure why you would want to change it unless there is a product you're trying to use that demands a certain database name be created. I would suggest putting in a ticket to support. If they say no, then you may want to consider a dedicated server for at least your database where you can control things like that.

 

The database names cannot be changed, even if you were to ask support as it's tied to the billing system which doesn't allow you to make many changes to the account.
