Changing host to you

Hi, My current hosting provider is closing down and wants me to find another provider. Please clarify what happens to my domain name? My current provider wants me to transfer the domain name too. DiscountASP sales rep says i should take care of my domain name. In that case on the expiry date of my domain name to whom should i pay (which registrar)

Did you register the domain through the host? If so, you will have to transfer to a new registrar (NameCheap, GoDaddy, etc), we cannot accept incoming transfers.

Once you have transferred the domain, when you move to us you would just change the name servers for the domain (you do that at the registrar) to point to us.
