CName help

  1. I have a site by the name of: http://constructionsupercenter.com

    I have created a CName of Support..... so this is now http://Support.ConsructionSuperCenter.com and i point this CName to http://constructionsupercenter.com; however, when i navagate to this CName i get an error page..

    Am i expecting a result that is not possiable.. by thinking that the home page will display when i point a CName to the top level domain...

  2. Do i need to do more than to set the Destination to one below?

    Canonical Name Record: Creates an alias from one hostname to another.
    Use of CNAME is generally not recommended.

  3. That looks like you setup the DNS to point to the right place. Now I need to know if the website is setup to receive that request.

  4. You'll need to setup either a domain pointer addon or add unique ip to your site.


    I believe domain pointer has a one time setup fee of $15. you'll have to check on the unique ip pricing.


    unique ip will let you add as many cnames as you want, simply by modifying your DNS.
