  1. I have fixed #2 and #3 in my application.

#2: The "login.aspx" refers back to "default.aspx" which I had renamed and lost the reference.

#3: From support, I needed to update my web.config to set the custom error to "Off" (case sensitive)

    Still working on #1

  2. Ok, I solved #3 by copying over ASPNETCommerce.css from my local machine. It contains the text and formatting classes.

  3. I mean #1 for ASPNETCommerce.css

  4. Hi,

I am hoping to make this thread a good one for "ASP.net for Dummies on the Commerce Starter Kit."

I am currently in the process of moving my local machine code (which works fine) to DiscountASP's server.

After working with support and getting the connection string working properly for MS SQL Server 2K, I am having the following challenges:

    1. I noticed that the Text Formatting classes are not working correctly. What other adjustments need to be made so that the label classes are recognized. (ie. components, DLL)?

    2. "login.aspx" does not work. Any ideas on changes needed here? Does the Commerce Starter Kit class need to be re-registered? If so, how?

    3. When I work on my local machine and I have an error in my code, I get a nice IIs compilation error page. How do you invoke this on the DiscountASP server?

    Thanks in Advance

    Jim

  5. So it looks like you got the kit running now. How do you request the kit to be installed on your webiste? Also, how did you configure the connecitons string for your DB? I assume this is a local SQL 2000 DB you have set up thru the Discount ASP.NET hosting, is that correct?
Have you tried the Time Tracker or Community kits yet? This looks like a great learning tool for ASP.NET and a nice template for starting your own site at the same time. Keep us updated with your thoughts and what you are trying with the Commerce kit. I'm going to try and run all three starter kits to get more experience in ASP.NET. I'm planning on using the basic 50MB SQL Srv 2000 DB hosting from Discount ASP.NET. Any other suggestions, comments, or ideas?
    Bill
