  8. [IMG]Thanks , bruce!

ps. doing sole project is frustrating and boring....[IMG]

coz my boss is always chasing my tail and saying "Did you complete web site development?" or "How long do you think it will take you to finish it?"

Gosh...I am pulling my hair out each time I encounter these questions.

I really wanna say to my boss..."c'mon, I'm just a junior programmer...doing the project from "Ground Zero" including graphic design 'n stuff is way beyound my capability ....([IMG] I was happy that i could make it all by myself without pro assistance)

[IMG]sigh! Life is tough as it gets!

    Happy Web Development!

  12. Hi J,

If you're worried about the look and feel of your site - have you considered using a template?

All you need to do is chop up the pages and fit your code around them and hey presto, you'll have yourself a very professional looking site. I have used them from time to time (depending on what I want to achieve).

    Take a look at 4Templates:

    Hope that helps [IMG]

  13. Hey, Georgio! Glad to see your reply post again!

[IMG] I will definitly suggest my client to do that if they don't like the simple design of mine - poor me[IMG] ..I wish i could be a designer but i just don't have the art skills.

    Thank you for the suggestion!

Generally speaking, it's best to avoid splash (intro) pages and get right to the products. When I saw that splash page, I assumed you were selling computers, based on the laptop graphic and the 'Maxtop' name. You might want to use an image that is more relevant to the products you sell.

  15. hehe... there is a kinda reason i put a laptop image there...

Well, this website is the company's prototype , so I think it's good to present a image that indicating we are going online

    but, thanks for your suggestions!

They are probably thinking of re-designing the website anyways...so i didn't bother to change any design issues.[IMG]

  16. Use PNGs when appropriate (like in your navigation- Text JPEGs are overcompressed and ugly)

Make your homepage the same as the maxtop.com landing page. Actually get rid of the landing page, it's not useful.

Work on making it valid HTML.

Higher contrast might be a nice design choice (use a lighter background).

It is a bit slow but I don't know what you can do about that.
