  1. Thank you for your 12 Jan email reply.
I clicked on the URL which you furnished and got the message the Internet Explorer cannot display the web page. It's the standard message page that appears when the page you are searching for doesn't exist.
I went to the knowledge base and found an article:
"Do you support MS SQL 2005 Express database on DiscountASP.NET?"
That sounds exactly like what I am looking for, since I am trying to use a SQL 2005 Express database on your server.
Its directions are very simple- I can use the SQL 2005 Attach tool in control panel to attach my SQL Express data base to your SQL 2005 database.
So I go to your Discount Control Panel which, if I am on the right page, has the site map in the left column, a list of news items down the center and advertisements in the right column. Is this the control panel? Or am I on the wrong page. In the upper left corner it says Hosting Control Panel.
However,if I am on the correct page for the control panel, there is no attach command there.
So, am I on the right page. If not, how do I navigate to the correct control panel page?
The best I can do is use the site map in the left column and navigate to MS SQL 2005. So I went to that page and, alas, there is no attach command there either.
Do you want to tell me where the attach command is; do you want to tell me to read something else? What?

  2. I have the same problem.I think I need to attach my uploaded *.MDF file from Visual Web Developer 2008 Express and SQL Server 2008 Express, right? But where do I find an "attach" button?

  3. Yes, it is a little hard to find your way around the site.
None of the host server sites and their forums that I have been on are actually created with the novice in mind. They are created by technologists for technologists. Years ago, when I was a systems analyst in a software house, we had a comment that "if it can be misunderstood, it will be misunderstood". If you have read many threads in forums on how to fix problems in site building, that thought has been lost.
    Sorry you are having trouble.
