Coppermine gallery integration

Discussion in 'ASP.NET WebServices' started by Jason21, Nov 9, 2005.

  1. I want to install the coppermine gallery (http://coppermine-gallery.net/) and they have a few requirments:

    * any webserver, Apache recommended (Coppermine has been reported to work with Apache, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Roxen WebServer, Abyss, JanaServer)
    * PHP 4.1.0 or better
    * GD lib or Image Magick
    * mySQL 3.23.23 or better (4.x recommended). Don't confuse the client api version (which is shown in phpinfo) with the mySQL version!

Currently i have MS Access installed under my discountASP hosting plan but would be upgrading to mySQL.

They say that GD lib or Image Magick must be installed on the server in order to use the gallery software. Does anybody know if it is? Or, If there are any other issues to installing this. If anybody has installed it I would like to hear from you, or if somebody from Discount ASP can tell me if the Microsoft servers that host my website meet all of these requirements that would be great.

    Thank you for your time,

  3. I ran a phpinfo() file on the server and it says:

    gd
    GD Support enabled
    GD Version bundled (2.0.15 compatible)

and that the PHP version is 4.3.4.

mySQL is at ver 3.23.49 and of course its hosted on a IIS ver 6 server.

So this seems like it meets all the requirements, but im not shure. I ran a forum search for Coppermine and got 0 hits.

Any suggestions? I dont want to pay for the mySQL upgrade if its not going to do me any good.

    Thank you,
    Jason

  4. It will run in DASP environment, everything meet the requirment, only Image Magick is not installed ( but I think you can use GD instead).
