Copy a database to local using SQL Server Management Studio

    Is it possible to copy my database from discountASP server to my own using SQL Server Mgt Studio? I get as far as selecting the database but it tells me I do not have permission to access "PUBS" which seems to be the first database in the listing.

    I only want to copy my own DB... obviously... is this even possible? If not, what are my alternatives for getting a local copy?

    First of all, do you have SQL 2005 (is it full version or express version) installed on your own computer?


    If you do, you can use the SQL Import Export feature to migrate data

    I purchased a license for MS VS 2005 Pro last year so I have SQL Server 2005 Dev edition.

    I'll give import export a shot.
