   Hey guys,
   
   I'm wondering whether there is a way to disable remote connections tomy SQL 2005data from the Internet. I think thiscould bequite a securityproblem, just think of the SQL slammer virus (or whatever its name was). If I don't need the remote connection from SQL Management Studio this is just another vulnerable point.

   Unfortunately, this setting cannot be disabled on a per database basis.
   
   
   Our whole network is guarded by a state-of-the-art Intrusion prevention system that should block all known viruses/worms/vulnerabilities.
