Default page always shows

I have uploaded my site and I have deleted the index.htm but the default page always shows, as if I haven't deleted it. It says this:

Welcome To DiscountASP.NET
If you can see this default page, then your site is setup!
You can begin to upload your site and remove this index.htm file.

I have deleted the index.htm though.
I have only changed the ASP.NET Version from "2.0/3.0/3.5 sp1" to "4". Everything else is default. I don't understand why this is.

By the way, I'm new to this.
