  1. When I set a Default Value for my Report Parameters in my Reporting Services report (SQL Server 2005) in Visual Studio 2005 (DateTime parameter), the parameter request field in Report Manager comes up disabled when I try to run the report. For example, I set my End Date parameter default to "Non-queried" with a value = to the function "Today". See my screenshots in the attached document. What am I missing?

Can you please upload an image so that we are able to see what is going on

  3. Sorry - images are now uploaded. The first one, shows where I set the Default Value for the End Date parameter to the function "Today". The second shows the report running in Report Manager, where it is asking for the parameters for the report and the End Date is disabled.

    Thanks.

  4. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what is meant by "Default Value"? What I wanted to do was have the report supply a value, such as today's date, but which could be overridden by the user when the report was run, if desired.

  5. Well, I finally figured this one out! It seems that Report Manager has to run the report at least once with the Default Values as the parameters. Once it is run at least once, from then on the values for the parameters can be changed.

    Strange.

    Thanks for your interest.
