Delay in sending mail

Hi

I searched and could not find a similar issue so here goes. I have a VB.NET app on my pc that I use to send emails to users. Let's not go into the why because this used to work great until about a months ago.

I use my smtp server for my website on Discount.ASP and a email account I defined as the sender.

When I use this tool to send an email (and it usually is only 1 or 2, maybe 5 a day) it takes 6 to 12 hours before it is send.

For instance if I send an email at 10pm at night I will get the email the next morning at 6am or even 10am. Various times. This use to be less than a minute. What is going on?
