Disable Virus Messages

Discussion in 'Suggestions and Feedback' started by shapper, Jan 20, 2005.

  1. Hello,

My clients receive the virus warning all the time.
    The same happens with me.

I know i can set a rule in my computer. I did that.
However i can't access all my clients computer's.

Why not have the option in the control panel to enable or disable these warnings.

It's just something that drives a person crazy.
In the most visible emails there are hours which the amount of emails received is huge.

    Cheers,
    Miguel

Currently, this is a system wide setting and cannot be disabled. We are considering adding this feature in the future.

When we designed the mail system, we figure most people would want to know if when they get an infected email; most of us will want to alert the sender (most likely a friend of yours) that his computer is affected.

If the notification is getting out of hand, I suggest you configure your email client (eg. Outlook) to automatically discard message from the address.

  3. I'm again getting a flood of these virus messages. It also drives me crazy. I use my phone and PDA to retrieve emails so I don't have the ability to setup rules to automatically delete the messages. Please consider adding this as an option to the control panel.

    Thanks,
