DNN 4.3.5 in a folder

  1. We recommend putting the DNN application in a subfolder because you are likely to have more than one web application on your site, so that it won't conflict with the other apps. But if the DNN app is the only one you will be using on your site, you can run it from the root.

    You cannot point the root to a subfolder, so the solution is to have your default page in the root redirect to your DNN folder.

  2. Hi all,

    I have a newbie question I hope someone can help me with. I read the guideance that said that if you are uploading DNN onto DASP, you should always put it in a sub folder. I have done this.

    How can I now point the "root" of my domain name to this subfolder so user's don't need to type it in. In other words I want www.mydomain.comto point to my DNN4.3.5 folder. I don't want users typing www.mydomain.com/dnn4.3.5 to hit the site.

    Any ideas?
