  1. I realize that there are several posts regarding redirection of domain names, but I'm hopeful that I will find a definitive solution for redirecting to portals on my DNN website.

I have a primary domain (www.albertinakerr.org) and a couple of other portals (www.spotlightonkerr.org and www.race4theroses.org). I have setup the portals in DNN with corresponding portal aliases.

    www.albertinakerr.org is portal 0
    www.race4theroses.org is portal 4
    www.spotlightonkerr.org is portal 6

In my portal alias table, I have these listed exactly as defined above.

I have added the domains in the DASP Domain/Pointer Manager.

On my test webserver at the office, this is all I have to do and DNN takes care of the redirection to the correct portal based on the items in the Portal and Portal Alias tables. But for some reason, all sites are being redirected to portal 0.

Does anyone know what I need to do to make this redirect correctly in DASP?

    Thanks,

    Craig

I have confirmed both www.race4theroses.org and www.spotlightonkerr.org are pointing to your site correctly. The redirection is done by DNN which leads me to believe you didn't set something correctly with the Portal Alias.

I personally am not too familiar w/ DNN and can't really provide much help. According to what I found on the DNN website, it looks like all you need to do is to point the domain to the correct IP and DNN would take care of the redirection. I recommend you also post your question to the DNN forum (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/Default.aspx) you will get more qualified assistance.

  3. It's unclear to me exactly what made my site work, but now it does work. I added another portal to my site - one that had nothing to do with the others that I already had setup. Then, just for fun, I thought I'd check back on my other portals - and like magic they're now working.

I think it must have had something to do with restoring my DB to the production environment - something must not have come through. When the table was updated, it seems to have fixed the problem.

    Thanks for your help.
