  1. I know this is probably obvious but...

I have a domain name that is registered and parked elsewhere.

A few months ago I setup a new DiscountASP.Net account and did not specify a domain name. While I've been building the site I've been hitting it through http://MyAccountName.web701.discountasp.net/...

Now I want to update my domain DNS records so that it points to DiscountASP.Net.

    QUestions:
    a) Do I need to tell DiscountASP.Net anything about this change? If so is there a form for this purpose?
    b) What information will I need to give my domain registrar? I already found the nameservers and contact information for DiscountASP.Net but I'm guessing I need to also tell them some information about the specific host/address that my domain should point to?

Please help clue in the clueless!

    Thanks!

It's always best to sign up with the domain name that you intend on using, as we provide alternative ftp and alternative url addresses. You can point the domain over to us when you wish.

However, in this case, you will need to:
    a. Contact tech support and let them know you want to switch your domain name of your account. They can provide more information of what is involved.
    b. You will need to update your domain name servers to our DNS at your Domain Registar.
