  1. Just a little note to let anyone know that I've managed to set up Dot Net Nuke, DotNetNuke, DNN on discountASP.net. Although there is a document on installation in the FAQs I found it be lacking in a few details that you might need to know. I won't go into the problems that I've had but if you want to install DNN and get a little stuck then I'll let you know what I did to get it up and running successfully.

  3. The install is a real pain if you get it wrong as it doesn't tell you where you went wrong.

one of the main things is to allow the ASPnet user to have some disk space as otherwise it won't be able to write to the database.

the other is that if you get the Assembly not matching error don't start again. I think this is an IIS caching problem. Just remove the application reload the page, clear your cache, put the application back and try again.

I can tell you that when it does work it is pretty cool so let me know where abouts you are and if you have any particular errors I'll try and help.

To get an idea of what it looks like and how it loads check mine out (you'll notice it needs a little work: I'm designing the skins and containers so excuse the mess!). I'm in London hosting in the States so the upload time from here is a tiny bit slower than when I try locally but you'd expect that.

Good luck - it is worth it but you'll need patience!
