Dreamweaver CS3 & VWD

Hello,

How do I get my Dreamweaver CS3 files to VWD? I also tried to use the FTP protocol in Dreamweaver. ButI never succeeded. If I have to keep the files in Dreamweaver hpw do I setup the FTP. Dreamweaver asks me these questions:

What is the hostname or FTP address of your Web server?

What folder on the testing server do you want to store your files in

What is your FTP login

What is your FTP password

 

It's a lot easier in Dreamweaver, the Sites config doesn't exit in VS or VWD, but I wish it did.
In VWD once you have your project or Website loaded you use the Copy Website tools.
Then when the dialog opens it will give you 4 options.
Choose the FTP option and then enter your account info, but don't use Passive FTP, doesn't work the same in VWD.
It will remember everything for your site except the password, you'll need to enter that each time.

Am I copying the website from Dreaver to VWD or from VWD to Dreamweaver

Your Dreamweaver source files are on your local system, right?

You can make another copy and open the copy in VWD or have it load the same location.

What you're doing is making the transition correct?

 

Yes, that works and it looks exactly the same as it did in Dreamweaver
