  1. I have had several email recipients complain about not receiving my email (hosted by discountASP.net), only to find it in their spam blocker. This morning, when sending to an AOL email address, I received an automated reply from AOL (below). Is this an issue I need to deal with, or is this a problem with discountASP.net's mail host? What should I do?

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mta00.internetmailserver.net.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.

This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

By the way, you may be able to switch to your ISP's SMTP server for now.

  5. Any update on this issue? It is affecting my customers as well.

    Thanks.

naw.. the block was not caused by missing RDNS or anything related to setup of our server but rather users marking email forwarding from our server as spam.

We have since got into the AOL whitelists and have not had any issues.

  7. Hi, its something to do with the way the messagelabs software handles the authentication of your email. I am having the same problems and it comes down to the reverse DNS records not matching, it the address of DASP's mail server does not match that of the machine you are using. Messagelabs regards this as a spam attempt and blocks your emails [IMG] . If anyone has any advice on setting up reverse DNS records it would begreatly appreciated.

Or failing that it could be that your port 25 is open and is being recognised as a relaying server!!!!

  8. Bruce,

The problem is not fixed (maybe only withAOL) We are still receiving these at this time when sending emails to several email servers...

I was told they were working on it early last week and still have the issue.

  10. Bruce you said in the postthat AOL was blocking not me.

I was getting returned email from several compnaies that said discountasp was on their greylist. I have switched email companies and do not have the issue any longer. Oh and I did submit a support ticket and was blown off.
