When you say that the email isn't being delivered in a timely way, do you mean that it is being delayed for long periods of time or it isn't being delivered at all? I suggest that you open a ticket with our Support Department and have them check the mail delivery logs to see what happened to a message sent by your site, while they cannot troubleshoot your code they can see what is happening to your emails if they are being sent. Make sure to include the following from an email you would like more information on: The "From:" address The "To:" address The "Subject:" line of the email. The approximate time and time zone the email was sent.
It was finally revealed that DASP put in an outgoing SPAM tool that snagged our our going eMail as SPAM, although it is not. THe use of this filter without telling customers is a real poor thing to do, despite the good intentions. A solution was proposed which seems to have solved our problem now that our sending address was whitelisted by DASP. The eMails were send using our website to our membership. Hopefully, in the future DASP will tell us when they make such decisions to change the processing of outgoing eMail.
