Emails and connections limits

I have some quetions:

- How many emails i can send each day using the server?
Its a day limit or hour limit?

- How many connections i can get with SQL Server and with Web Site Server? Whats the limit? 200? 300?

You're able to send up to 1000 an hour, and 5000 per 24 hour period. Also, please note there is a 40 recipient limit per email.

If you're using SQL Management Studio to connect to your database, I believe there's a 5 connection limit (your app connecting doesn't count).

The site has a lower limit I believe, but if you're having more connections than those we allow, we can raise the limit to accommodate your apps usage.

 

Within reason, of course.

That's a lot of connections. It would help if we knew what you were trying to accomplish, rather than just telling you what the default is. The default is low because for most sites here on earth it doesn't need to be high.

Remember you can usually support hundreds of concurrent visitors on a handful of connections.
