We are considering moving our site to DiscountASP.NET and have taken out a subscription so we can do some testing. I have created a single page web application and have imported the web deploy publishing settings. I am able to validate using the imported settings, but if I change the Site/Application and Destination URL to the Alternative URL I get Error User Unauthorized.
To anyone on an IIS 7 server getting a “User not Authorized” error when attempting a Web Deploy, make sure that you have given your primary user MS IIS Manager access in this section of our Control Panel. https://my.discountasp.net/web-manager/iis7-manager.aspx
