  1. Hi,

I am trying to copy my local database running on an SQL Server 2008 R2 Trial (not Beta like I wrote in the subject) database to my Discountasp SQL Server 2008 R2. I connect to the remote database with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, I go to Copy Database, select my source server as the local one and destination server as sql2k803.discountasp.net. I select "Use SQL Server Authentification", enter my db username/password and when I click Next I get the following error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". My OS is Vista 7 32 bits and my laptop is a 64bits HP model nx6125, if that's of any use!

    Any idea why?

    Tx,

    Seb

You cannot use Copy Database Wizard to copy your local database to our production server because you must be a member of the sysadmin fixed server role on both the source and destination servers, but this is not allowed on our servers for the security reason.

  3. How can I copy my local database to your production server and maintain all the primary keys (PKs), foreign keys (FKs), views, etc. then? Import data doesn't create the PKs and FKs and puts the views in the table folder...
